Early Years
Chris Green, from Burgess Hill, Sussex, started playing drums as a young child. In later years he was to play other instruments and start writing his own compositions as a very talented musician
Influences
Some of the artists that have inspired his writing are: Dan Fogelberg, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Toto, Todd Rundgren, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Keith Urban, Alison Krauss, Lady Antebellum and many others including film composers: Ennio Morricone, Bruno Nicolai, Elmer Bernstein, Jerry Goldsmith

Songwriting
He gained a skill in songwriting, first realising his talent when he was a runner-up in the American Song Festival in the USA. He has written many songs over the years.
This continued with many more successes in both the UK and Ireland
Disasters in the world have moved Chris to write songs about them in his own inimitable way, such as the powerful 'World Freedom Fell' written after the twin towers tragedy of 9/11 and the haunting 'White Magnolias' depicting the devastation of Hurricane Katrina (see video page)
Live performances
For some time Chris wanted to have his own band to work exclusively on his music, so in 2009 this dream was realised and the live side of the Chris Green Project Band was formed.
The band and Chris's songs have proved popular with audiences and they have a growing fan base (see Band & Concerts pages)
Chris Green Project
For many years Chris has worked with Vera Groves and the Chris Green Project was formed when local talented singer Kirsty joined them.
With Kirsty's distinctive voice on most of the songs, Chris on guitar, Vera on keyboards and others joining the Project to add both vocals and lead guitar, Chris Green Project was created
Recording & Producing
Chris has always had an interest in all things electronic so it is no surprise he has his own studio where he records the songs.
Chris & Vera then mix, and produce the tracks as well as mastering the final product. They have already released 2 albums. Their debut album 'Road of Many Colours' and their second album 'Beautiful World' and are currently working on another album (See Albums page)
