Chris Green - Songwriter
Chris, from Burgess Hill, Sussex is a lover of all types of music from classical, film music, country, pop to the latest charts. He plays drums, guitar & keyboard and has played many gigs in a variety of bands over the years His main talents are with his songwriting which has proved very successful writing both music and lyrics. He writes in most styles, including pop, country, and has a particular strength in the many genres of ballads
Heart Problems
His music was a major factor in his recovery and great therapy for him. He spent many hours with his guitar composing and writing, which was most prolific during this time. He has written some of his most successful songs in recent times following his heart operations which has also helped him to remain a very positive person He did indeed show his appreciation for all the help and care he received at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by staging a concert in aid of the Brighton Heart Support Trust in 2006. Forming the 'Chris Green Project' he performed many of his own songs at this concert - and dedicated 'Build you a new Heart' to the surgeons who helped to save his life

Songwriting
Disasters in the world sometimes moved Chris to write songs about them in his own inimitable way, such as the powerful 'World Freedom Fell' written after the twin towers tragedy of 9/11 and the haunting 'White Magnolias' depicting the devastation of Hurricane Katrina (see video on Album Page) Chris Green Project Chris Green Bio The Home of original music.... written by Chris Green

Live performances With many more songs ready to be aired to a live audience, Chris always wanted to have his own band to work exclusively on his music, so at the beginning of 2009 this dream was realised and the live side of the Chris Green Project was born. He now has added to the founder members with a drummer & guitarist/vocalist. They performed together for the first time at the Macmillan Charity Concert in 2009 and were invited back again on April 17th 2010 (see Band members page) |
