UK Songwriting Contest

Chris first entered the UK Songwriting Contest in 2003 with some of his original songs and was delighted to achieve immediate success. This  prestigious competition attracts thousands of entries from all over the world and is well respected in the music industry. In 2009 he has maintained his success with 12 Semi Final positions out of over 6,000 entries!

His talents as a songwriter were confirmed as each time he has entered the contest, he reached finals and semi finals with his impressive range of original songs in many different genres. In all the 5 competitions he has entered, he has reached a total of 35 semi-finals or finals

Chris has written some moving songs about world disasters and is well respected for his 'Soundtracks of Life'. His songs have been played on the radio around the world in the UK, Ireland, Austria, France, Germany, South Africa and also Nashville and other regions of the USA.

Battle of the bands - Hertbeat fm

Chris's second entry 'Invisible Man' also won Hertbeat fm's weekly 'Battle of the Bands' competition for its maximum of 4 consecutive weeks on air too

Following the success of both songs, Chris and vocalist Andy Clayden were invited into the Hertbeat fm studio and performed an acoustic version live on radio

'World Freedom Fell' was written following the disaster of the World Trade Center on September 11th 2001. This powerful song won Hertbeat fm's 'Battle of the Bands' for its maximum of 4 consecutive weeks (See Videos page for tribute video)
